Andhra Pradesh District Institutes of Education and Training (DIET)/ Elementary Teacher Training Institutes Combined Entrance Test or Andhra Pradesh State DIET CET is conducted by Department of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh for candidates who intend to take admission into 2 year Diploma in Education (D.Ed.) in Government District Institutes of Educational Training (DIETs) and Private Elementary Teacher Training Institutions in the state.

Andhra Pradesh State DIET CET Eligibility

Educational Qualification
The candidates who passed or appeared for the 12th Examinations (qualifying examination) or its equivalent are eligible to appear for the entrance test.

The candidate should have secured 45 % of marks in aggregate in qualifying exam. The minimum percentage of marks in the case of Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Physically Challenged candidates is 40%.

Age Limits
The candidates should have completed 17 years.
There is no upper age limit.

Other Eligibility Conditions
Candidate should be of Indian Nationality.
The candidate should satisfy Local/Non-Local Status requirements as laid down in the A.P. Educational Institutions (Regulation of admission) order 1974 as subsequently amended.

Process to apply for Andhra Pradesh State DIET CET
Andhra Pradesh State DIET CET 2015 - Andhra Pradesh District Institutes of Education and Training (DIET)/ Elementary Teacher Training Institutes Combined Entrance Test acronym as Andhra Pradesh State DIET CET is conducted by Department of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh for candidates who intend to take admission into:

Two year Diploma in Education (D.Ed.)

in Government District Institutes of Educational Training (DIETs) and Private Elementary Teacher Training Institutions in the state.


Andhra Pradesh State DIET CET Eligibility

Educational Qualification

The candidates who passed or appeared for the 10+2 Examinations (qualifying examination) March-2015 or its equivalent are eligible to appear for the entrance test.

Note: Candidates should have passed the qualifying examination by the time of admission.
The candidate should have secured 45 percent of marks in aggregate in qualifying examination. The minimum percentage of marks in the case of Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Physically Challenged candidates shall however be 40 percent.

Note: The candidates who passed Intermediate examination with vocational course(s) are not eligible.

Age Limits

The candidates should have completed 17 years as on 01-09-2015. There is no upper age limit.

Other Eligibility Conditions

Candidate should be of Indian Nationality.

Andhra Pradesh State DIET CET Syllabus

Andhra Pradesh State DIET CET consists of question from the subjects given below. The syllabi of the test shall be of the standard of Classes VIII to X of A.P. State Syllabus for Part-II &Part III of the test. The Subjects are:

Teaching Aptitude Test
General English
Telugu/Urdu/Tamil
Mathematics
Physical Sciences
Biological Sciences
Social Studies
