Can you please give me idea about the eligibility criteria for engineering and medical entrance exam of Andhra Pradesh - EAMCET??

EAMCET Entrance Exam is conducted by one of the state university of Andhra Pradesh for Engineering, Agricultural, Architecture & Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) for admission to B.E / B.Tech (Agri / Engg / Dairy Technology) / BArch) in all Private as well as institutions affiliated to the University of Andhra, Acharaya NG Ranga Agricultural, Kakatiya, Nagarjuna, JNTU, Osmania, Sri Krishnadevaraya , Sri Venkateswara and Regional Engineering College for AP quota seats.


Engineering - EAMCET Entrance Exam

EAMCET Entrance Exam Centres:

Hyderabad, Kakinada, Anantapur, Guntur, Kurnool, Nellore, Tirupati, Vijayawada, Visakhapattnam, Warangal.

Eligibility - EAMCET Entrance Exam

-You must pass 10 + 2 examination with Math's, Physics and Chemistry as optional or Vocational courses in Engg & Tech of Intermediate Education, AP or Dip exam in Engg/Architecture of the State Board of Technical Education & Training or its equivalent.

-Minimum age must be16 years on Dec.31 of the year of admission.

- You must be of Indian nationality. Admission is open to residents of the State of Andhra Pradesh.


Selection –

Candidates are selected on the basis of the merit in EAMCET. Exam will consists of multiple choice object type questions in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Candidates who want admission to BArch course have to appear for an Aptitude test separately, after passing in the EAMCET. The aptitude test will Conduct at JNTU, School of planning & Architecture, Hyderabad during September.



Medical - EAMCET Entrance Exam


Admission to various medical courses in Medical and Dental colleges affiliated to AP University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada is made through State Level Engineering, Agricultural & Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET).

Eligibility –

Your Age should be in between 17 to 22 years as on December 31. Minimum Age for B.Pharm should be 16 years. Medical Fitness is also essential.

Reservation –

15 % for SC
6 % for ST
25 % for BC
1 % for Children of Service/ Ex-Serviceman
30 % for Woman Candidates

Entrance Test –

EAMCET Entrance Exam is in English and Telegu medium covering the subjects - Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
