AMU University for M.Tech

Does the AMU University offer M.Tech in Mining Engineering discipline? What is the minimum eligibility criteria required by a student who want to do M.Tech there? Is there any Separate Entrance Examination conducted by AMU University for this Master Degree Program? Give important dates for this year entrance examination.

Course Title Design of Irrigation Works


Semester I

Topics Covered

Unit 1 Principle of design of hydraulic structures on permeable foundation, Mechanics of failure of hydraulic structures on permeable soil, Design of barrage.

Unit 2 Design of silt excluder and silt ejector, Design of guide banks and spurs.

Unit 3 Design of subcritical canal transitions: Hind’s method, Vittal and Chiranjeevi’s method of transition design, Design of supercritical transition.

Unit 4 Design of head and cross regulators, Design of falls.
