The Department of Medicine of AMU (Aligarh Muslim University) was established in 1963 and it progressed steadily since then. In the year 1993, three new departments namely Psychiatry, Dermatology and T.B. & Chest Diseases were separated out from Medicine Department.


M.B.B.S.

Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on behalf of Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct the process of admission to AMU MBBS/BDS. Candidates who wish to participate for AMU MBBS admissions must qualify for the NEET exam and fulfil the eligibility conditions as specified by the authority.

Qualifying Examination
One must have Senior Secondary School Certificate Exam of this University or an exam recognised by the University as its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. Further, one must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
