Here I am giving you information about admission in AMIE course offered by Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers. AMIE course is equivalent to B tech course


AMIE course details :
Eligibility :
You have to passed A recognized 3-year Polytechnic Diploma or its equivalent in any branch of engineering.
OR
You must pass +2/HSC/Inter with Physics, Chemistry& Mathematics with minimum 45% marks.


For admission you have to become a member of AMIE association .


The admission to AMIE Course is open round the year.
there are two categories of Non-corporate membership
1. Senior Technician (ST) membership, and
2. Technician (T) membership.


If you passed 3 years' Engineering Diploma or equivalent, you may apply for Senior Technician membership,
if you have passed +2 or equivalent, then apply for Technician membership.


Fee details:
A student opting postal study can complete the full course at just Rs 30,000
Examination fee in India is Rs2000/-

AMIE stands for Associate Member of Institution of Engineers.

AMIE is a distance education program provides degrees / diplomas in Engineering which is recognized by PSC, UPSC, Government of India, All State Governments and AICTE etc.

The AMIE program is run by the Jyothis Academy for those applicants who are unable to avail a degree in regular modes.

The programme is available in the following three modes for all the applicants:

1. Regular full time class

2. Part time classes (on holidays) and

3. Postal Coaching (for out station students)

Branches Available:
Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials and Metallurgical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Production Engineering ,Textile Engineering , Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering.

Eligibility
Candidates should be either Intermediate/ Class 12th passed out in the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with a minimum of 45% marks for this purpose or they can be a Diploma holder in a three year polytechnic from any branch of engineering.

Admission Procedure
Applicants can apply at any time from the university website by downloading the online application forms and sending it to the Office of the Jyothis Academy through Speed Post or Courier.
Applicants must pay the first installment fee of Rs.12000 through Demand Draft /Cheque drawn in favor of the Jyothis Academy payable at Kottayam.

The Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers is a professional certification given by Institution of Engineers (India).

Admission Procedure

AMIE examination fee is Rs 2000 for applicants appearing in any center in India

$ 150 (one hundred and fifty US dollars) for applicants appearing outside India.

Mode of payment for AMIE application fee:

AMIE application fee is to be paid in the form of DD drawn in favor of "The Institution of Engineers (India)" and payable at "Kolkata." Cheque/Money order will not be accepted.

Eligibility:

Applicants must have a recognized 3-year Polytechnic Diploma or its equivalent, in any branch of engineering or +2/HSC/PDC with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics with minimum 45% marks

Applicants must have pass the Institution Examinations, both in Existing Scheme and Revised Scheme,:

Section A : 6 Years

Section B : 6 Years

Paper Pattern

AIME exams are held twice a year, called Summer and Winter examinations. There are two sections:

Section A - 3 papers
Section B - 5 papers

Each paper is of 3 hours

Important Dates:
The Summer Exam of Sections 'A' and 'B' shall be conducted at 67 Examination Centres in India and abroad during June 06-12, 2015.

1. In order to get membership and join for AMIE, students can use downloaded 'Membership Form'.
2. After filling up, the photograph and educational qualifications are to be verified by a 'Supporter'.
3. Anyone with AMIE/MIE/FIE grade can be a 'Supporter'

Documents Required

Attachments needed along with the application form for membership are
1. Two passport size photographs to be affixed on the application form.
2. Attested copy of certificate to prove your age (say S.S.L.C first page).
3. Attested copy of Higher Secondary / Plus Two certificate (if any).
4. Attested copy of Final/Provisional certificate of 3 years Diploma.
5. Attested copy of Final Semester Marksheet of 3 years Diploma.
6. Membership Registration fee in the form of Demand Draft.
