The 53rd Annual Conference of Association of Microbiologists of India (AMI)-2012 International Conference on “Microbial World : Recent Innovations and Future Trends” was conducted by KIIT University on 23rd November 2012

The Conference was conducted in KIIT in the presence of Prof. Seyed E. Hasnain, Member, Scientific Advisory Council to the Prime Minister of India (SAC-PM) & Professor, IIT Delhi, Dr. A. Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS and other esteemed guests.

The four-day conference will feature poster presentations in different areas like Agricultural, Environmental, Food and Dairy, Industrial, Medical and Veterinary, Molecular microbiology and Biotechnology.

Besides special sessions on genomics and proteomics, it have parallel sessions on environmental microbiology, virology, nanobiotechnology, biodeterioration and biodegradation, translational and diagnostic microbiology, medical microbiology, molecular microbiology, industrial microbiology, food, agriculture and veterinary microbiology, biotransformation and bioenergy and microbial diversity.

Other events during the conference include the Board Meeting of AMI and presentation of Young Scientist Awards.
