The Bharat Ratna Dr B.R. Ambedkar Vishwavidyalaya (Ambedkar University, Delhi or AUD) was established by the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi through an Act of Legislature in 2007 and was notified in July 2008.

About campus :
The University campus is housed in a 400 year old heritage buildings complex, located at the Lothian Road, Kashmere Gate, Delhi-110006, where we have a 3-acre sprawling green campus in the heart old Delhi. Adjoining their campus is the campus of the newly constituted Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW)
