Re: Am I Eligible For NTPC Exam After Engineering In IT

Yes you are eligible for the NTPC . NTPC recruits the candidates who have completed their Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology. For applying for the NTPC you have to appear in GATE exam.

Recruitment is also depend on the vacant post in the company.

Eligibility:
Applicant must have completed a full time Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology/AMIE with a minimum of 65% marks in aggregate.

Final year/semester students are also eligible provided they obtain at least 65% marks in their engineering degree.

Applicant must have qualified in GATE

Age: not more than 27 years.

Selection Process:-
Written Exam (GATE exam)
Personal Interview.

Re: Am I Eligible For NTPC Exam After Engineering In IT

National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC) considers engineering Graduates for the post of Graduate Engineer trainee.

It is one of the leading PSU's in power sector. The criterion followed by it for recruiting freshers is given below-

So candidates must have obtained the qualification from any recognized institution with 60% to 65% marks.

Age of the candidate must be less than 30 years.

For senior level positions experienced candidates are often preferred.

Selection process is carried out on the basis of GATE score and a placement test.

The placement test in NTPC includes a written test which consists of objective type multiple choice questions. The questions are structured in GRE/CAT examination format.
Questions are designed from analytical, technical, verbal reasoning and quantitative sections.

There are no negative markings for the wrong answers. A total time of 90 minutes are allotted to answer 120 questions.

The placement test is carried out to test the reasoning, basic technical knowledge, aptitude and mental ability of the candidate.

There is a cut off mark for this examination and the candidates those who score more than the prescribed cut off marks are selected for the interview.
