Am I eligible to join Merchant Navy after passing 12th commerce?

I have passed my 12th class with commerce stream and I want to join the Merchant navy? Please tell me can I am eligible to join Merchant Navy after passing 12th commerce or not?

You have to give the NDA (National Defense Academy) after completion of 12th for this. Here I am providing you the eligibility required for the NDA. This is as follows:
Eligibility criteria
The applicants should have at least 60% marks in 12th with any type of field.

The applicant’s age should lies between 16.5 to 19 years.

The applicant’s eye sight should be correct i.e.6/6.

The applicant should be physically fit.

The applicant should be unmarried male.


Physical Eligibility For joining Merchant navy are as follows: -

* Eye Sight = 6/6,
* Height = 167 cms,
* Weight = 50 Kg
* Chest = 77 cm (Normal) / 82 cm (Expanding)
