UNIT 1: (Geotectonics) 1.1 Geological time scale and origin of the earth 1.2 Concept of Isostasy: Models of Airy, Pratt and Heiskanen. 1.3 Plate Tectonics – As a unified theory of all Global Tectonic Phenomena 1.4 Folds and Faults : Formation and Types UNIT-2: (Geomorphology) 2.1 Weathering, Erosion and Mass-wasting: Impacts on landforms. 2.2 Landforms under geomorphic processes: Fluvial, Glacial, Aeolian and Karst 2.3 Cyclic and Non-cyclic concepts of land form change / evolution: Davis, Penck and Hack 2.4 Landforms on uniclinal, domal, folded and faulted structure Module 2: Geography of Resources UNIT-1: (Resource Perception) 1.1. Concept and Classification of Resource. 1.2 Resource Perception: Economic and Environmental. 1.3 Resource utilization. 1.4 Conservation of resources: General principles and methods.
