Air Force Common Admission Test is being conducted by the Indian Air Force for admission in the Indian Air Force as Commissioned Officers in Flying, Technical and Ground Duty branches

Here are the details of Technical Branch:
The applicant should hold four year degree qualification from a recognized university or cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate membership examination of the institute of electronics and telecommunication engineers.

Age:
18 to 28 years as on 01st July, 2015

Selection procedure:
The selection will be based on performance in Intelligence Test, Screening Test, Psychological Test, Group Tests, Medical Test and Interview.

Important Dates
Starting date for Submission of Online Applications: 07th June 2014
Last date for Submission of Online Application: 03rd July 2014
Date of AFCAT and EKT Exam: 31st August 2014
Date of Course Commencing: July 20

Here I am giving you details about AFCAT (Air Force Common Admission Test) Technical Examination including important dates.

Technical Branch (198/16T/ SSC/M-W Courses):

Eligibility Criteria:

Age:
20 to 26 years as on 01st January 2016 (born between 02nd January 1990 to 01st January 1996) both dates inclusive

Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) AE (L):
Candidates have undergone a minimum of four year degree qualification from a recognized university or cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate membership examination of the institute of electronics and telecommunication engineers by actual studies all candidates applying for AE (L) branch should have scored a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together

Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical) AE (M):
Candidates have undergone a minimum of four year degree qualification from a recognized university or cleared Section A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India by actual studies


Important Dates:
Candidates are to apply on IAF Career website from:
06th December 2014

Last date for submission of Online Applications:
01st January 2015

Date of AFCAT and EKT Exam:
22nd February 2015

Date of Commencing in:
January 2016
