Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a standardised test being administered since 1988 to facilitate Business Schools (B-Schools) to screen candidates for admission to MBA and allied programmes. Govt. of India, Ministry of HRD approved MAT as a national level test in 2003.

Syllabus of the Exam :

Language Comprehension - This section is aimed to judge the comprehending and reading skills of the candidates. The candidates will have to read the passages given and answer the questions based on it.

Intelligence and Critical Reasoning With an aim to assess the candidates logical reasoning ability,this section deals with the topics like Data Arrangement, Blood Relations, Series and Sequences and Critical Reasoning, Direction Sense, Input/Output analysis, Coding and Decoding.

Data Analysis and Sufficiency This section is to judge the candidates analytical and critical thinking. This section brings the questions based on the topics like Direction Sense, Input/Output analysis, Coding and Decoding, Data Arrangement, Blood Relations.

Mathematical Skills This section deals with the question based on business Mathematics, Arithmetic, and Geometry. It is important that the candidates thoroughly know their basic formulae and other concepts.

Indian and Global Environment Knowledge about current affairs is all you need for this section.This section focuses on the domestic and international current affairs and anything related to general awareness could be asked.
