Hello dear, at this time the All India Institute of Medical Science is planning for open its campus in West Bengal Kalyani. The campus work is in progress.

The All India Institute of Medical Science is planning to open Kalyani West Bengal campus in 2019.

The construction of the All India Institute of Medical Science, AIIMS in Nadia Kalyani will be completed within the next 24 months.

In the meantime, first-stage work will be done to complete the work in December this year.

The hospital is being built on 179 acres of land at a cost of Taka 1,754 crore.

The other two states which are getting AIIMS each are Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra.

The Centre will spend around Rs 4949 crore under Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) for setting up three hospitals at three different states.

Around Rs 1,754 crore will be spent to construct the hospital at Kalyani, whereas the other two hospitals that are coming up at Mangalagiri near Guntur in Andhra Pradesh and at Nagpur in Maharashtra at the cost of Rs 1,618 and Rs 1,577 crore.

The State government had handed over 179.82 acres of land to the Centre at free of cost for the construction of the hospital at Bashantapur area under Kalyani police station in December last year.

The proposed site of the hospital is around 1.5 km away from the National Highway 34.
