Re: AIIMS At Mangalagiri

The proposed 960-bed All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) will come up at Mangalagiri in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh involving an expenditure of Rs. 1,620 crore.

This project surrounds 193 acres of land and which will have a hospital with 960 beds, administrative block, teaching block, department of Ayush, auditorium, guest houses and residential facilities.

The site proposed to be given to AIIMS is currently being occupied by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF).

The Mangalagiri AIIMS will be smaller than Government General Hospital at Guntur, which has 1,170 beds.

Government instructed the management to complete and launch this institute within 3 years.

In this project , a medical institute teaching every departmental course helps students to remain in their home town without searching their seats in other universities across India.
