Is All India Council for Technical Education conducts PGCET entrance exam, if yes then I want to know detailed information about that, so will you please provide here???

From 2013, AICTE has left the decision of conducting state-level entrance exam (PGCET) to the Karnataka state government.

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has allowed Karnataka State Government to conduct Postgraduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) for Management Courses admissions.

So here I am giving information related to Karnataka PGCET entrance exam:

The Karnataka Examination Authority conducts the Post Graduate Common Entrance Test for admission into the first year or first semester of full time and part time courses in M.E. / M.Tech / M.Arch in Government / University / Private Aided / Private Un-Aided professional educational institutions in the state of Karnataka.

Eligibility:
The applicant should have Graduation in relevant disciplines with 50% marks.

Application Fee:-
Rs. 500/- for SC / ST category candidates
Rs. 600/- for General and OBC category candidates

Exam pattern:

The Karnataka PGCET is conducted for the following main disciplines of Engineering:

Civil Engineering
Computer Science Engineering
Chemical Engineering
Textile Engineering
Polymer Science
Environmental Engineering
Architecture respectively

The exam will be done in two main parts- having objective type MCQs in the following manner-

Part 1- Common Questions

30 Questions of 1 Mark each

15 Questions of 2 Marks each

Part 2- Specialization Questions

20 Questions of 1 Mark each

10 Questions of 2 Marks each

Total Number of Questions: 75

Total Marks Allotted: 100

Duration of Exam: 150 Minutes

There will be no negative marking in the Exam.
