Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a national level entrance test held for admission to MBA and PGDM programme across its participating institutes and is conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) every year. The CMAT score is accepted by all AICTE-Approved Institutions/University Departments/Constituent Colleges/Affiliated Colleges in India. CMAT 2018 Important Dates CMAT Application start date Second week of October 2017 Last date to fill CMAT Application form Last week of December 2017 Trail Test starts from Second week of December 2017 CMAT Admit card Second week of January 2018 Test date Last week of January 2018 CMAT Result cum merit list First week of February 2018 Print of score cards Second week of February 2018 CMAT Eligibility Criteria 2018 One must hold a graduate degree of minimum three years from a recognised Indian Institute General category applicants must obtain minimum 50% at graduation level, while SC/ST category must obtain 45% One must be a citizen of India There is no age limit to appear for CMAT Final year graduates awaiting their results can also apply for CMAT Test Pattern for CMAT Type of Questions No. of Questions Maximum Marks Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation 25 100 Logical Reasoning 25 100 Language Comprehension 25 100 General Awareness 25 100 Duration of test is 180 minutes (3 hours) There shall be negative marking for wrong answers, for each wrong answer 1 mark shall be deducted. CMAT Selection Procedure After the CMAT merit list is released by the conducting body, candidates will then have to apply to the participating institutes of CMAT. Then the preferred participating Institute will proceed with the selection procedure of CMAT which comprises three main steps: Group Discussion (GD) Written Ability Test (WAT) Personal Interview (PI) |
