The College of Agriculture in Raipur is a college under Indira Gandhi Agricultural University which was established in 1961 by the then Govt. of Madhya Pradesh. Initially it was affiliated to Sagar University of Madhya Pradesh. In 1964 it became constituent college of Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwavidyalaya , Jabalpur.

College of Agriculture offers UG & PG programme. 13 departments are functioning under College of Agriculture, Raipur The activity of the colleges is carried out through different departments and the departments are the pivots for the main functioning of the teaching, research and extension education in the university.

B.Sc.(Ag.)
The admission in first year of B.Sc.(Agri) is done on the basis of a merit list provided by the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board of the State Government.

The Board conducts a Pre Agriculture Test (PAT) for B.Sc.(Agri) and B.SC.(Hort) courses, Pre Engineering Test (PET) for B.Tech. of Agriculture Engineering. The roaster of reservation of seats of State Government for different categories is followed for these admissions by advertising in the Newspapers.
