TOEFL or Test of English as a Foreign Language is meant to test proficiency of students whose mother tongue /native language is not English. The test is conducted on weekends. TOEFL has to be taken up by every student who is not a US citizen but, wants to study in the US.

Eligibility Criteria :[/B]

Anyone and everyone is eligible for taking the TOEFL test - there are no restrictions based on age or qualifications. The test scores are valid for two years, i.e., most universities accept scores up to two years old.

Minimum Qualification : XII

Task Description Approximate time
Reading 3–5 passages, each containing 12–14 questions 60–80 minutes
Listening 6–9 passages, each containing 5–6 questions 60–90 minutes
Break Mandatory break 10 minutes
Speaking 6 tasks 20 minutes
Writing 2 tasks 50 minutes
