Probationary Officer (PO) is the entry level position in the officer cadre in banking industry.

Eligibility Criteria

Age limit
Age requirement in most Bank PO exam is 21 to 30 years.
This may be relaxed upto 5 years for reserved categories.

Qualification:
The applicants Minimum qualification is Graduation with at least 55 to 60% marks in graduation as eligibility criteria.

The minimum required marks can also be different for science, commerce and arts stream.

Selection procedure:
Recruitment of probationary officers in Banks is done through a written competitive exam (Bank PO exam) followed by interview for successful candidates.

Kashmir Division of the State of Jammu & Kashmir

Persons affected by 1984 riots 5 years

Educational Qualifications:
Applicants must have completed their Graduation Degree from any recognized university or institution

Nationality / Citizenship: – Applicants must have these citizenship which is given below..

Citizen of India
Citizen of Nepal
Citizen of Bhutan
A Tibetan refugee

Migrated People from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania , Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India are eligible for Bank PO exams.
