Yes definitely after completion of M.Sc. in Mathematics , you are eligible for the UGC NET exam .

UGC NET is conducted mainly to recruit research assistants and professors in various streams of education.

Eligibility for UGC-NET
The basic eligibility for appearing in UGC-NET exam is a Master degree or equivalent in related subjects with a minimum of 55% (54.99% is not eligible) in this.

Students appearing or have appeared for final year exams are also eligible.
The candidate can appear for the related subject as studied in graduation.
The candidates who have qualified the SET exam are also eligible to appear for this.

Age Qualification for UGC-NET
Students appearing for JRF should not be above 28 years of age.
Students appearing only for lectureship have no upper age limit. Age relaxation of 5 years will be given to SC/ST/OBC or physically disabled or women or visually handicapped

Important Dates:
Date of Start of On-Line Submission: 22nd July 2014

Date of Single MCQ Examination: 21st December 2014
