There are three types of posts available in Regional Transport Department, they are :-
Judicial Post
Engineering Post
Clerical Post

Educational qualification:
For Judicial Service post:
The Candidate should be Indian citizen and should have degree in law from recognized university

For Clerkship Post:
You should have passed 10+2 from a recognized board. And Candidates must have diploma in Automobile / Mechanical engineering or equivalent, from a recognized University.
You should have typing speed of 30 words per minute in Marathi

For Sub Assistant Engineer:
You should have 4 year degree in engineering in any one of these streams Civil, Mechanical, Electrical.

Age limit:
21 Years to 30 Years for General candidates
3 Years of relaxation for OBC candidates
and 5 Years of relaxation for SC / ST candidates.

Selection procedure:
Written Test
Interview.

Requirements to become RTO Inspector

Candidates must have Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Diploma in Automobile from a recognized University.

Age Limits
Between 18 years to 35 years

Age Relaxation
3 Years of relaxation for OBC candidates and 5 Years of relaxation for SC / ST candidates.

Pay Scale
Rs 14800 – 34000/-.

Nationality
Indian

RTO Inspector Exam Format
Total Number of questions - 100
Total Marks- 100
Questions will be appear from the following subjects ::

Question and Marks divides in followings:
General Knowledge - 40 Que / 40 Marks
General Hindi - 20 Que / 20 Marks
Maths - 40 Que / 40 Marks
