After completing 12th class if you want to do CA, then you will have to apply for CPT it will be a first step for you.
CPT is Common Proficiency Test.

Here I am giving you information about it:

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidate must have a 12th passed certificate from a recognized board.

12th class appearing students will also be able to apply for CPT course.

In India, the CA course is held by the ICAI (Indian Chartered Accountants Institute). A chartered accountant is the member of ICAI. The membership can be continued through the prescribed fees or yearly payment.

A chartered accountant deals with the financial supervision and carries out the monetary audits. A chartered accountant works as a private advisor or in the accounts subdivision in an organization.

Courses
It takes the Five years to complete the CA course. By the year 2006, the ICAI has started the three level of this course.
CPT (Common Proficiency Test)
IPCC (Integrated Professional Competence Course)
FC (Final Course)

The CPT is the entry-level foundation course which involves the quantitative aptitude test, general economics, mercantile laws and accounting.

The IPCC has 2 groups. It includes the working knowledge of the core subjects. It is specially intended to improve the knowledge of accounting standards.

After the completion of 12th standard, students can apply for admission in the CA programme through the CPT (Common Proficiency Test).

If he/she qualifies in CPT, he/she would be enrolled as the member of ICAI.

The students who had cleared their plus two examination can only go for the foundation level test held by the ICAI. After qualifying the group 1st, the students have to undergo the on-job training period of three years called “articleship” with an audit or accounts firm.
