Re: After B.Tech (ECE) IES/PSU

Both, Public Sector undertaking (PSU) and IES (Indian Engineering Service) are good. Both has higher future prospect.

On an average PSUs' and IESs’ offer salary package at par or more in comparison to private firms. So, the craze for PSU and IES is much more than private sector job and so the competition to get job in PSUs and IESs is very high.

If you have interest in core technical jobs, then you can go for PSU sectors.
To get a job in those PSU's you have to first appear in a written test exam.
After qualifying in the test, you have to go through the interview.
So, if you want to get a job in core field then you must have a vast knowledge in technical papers.

If you have interest in doing administrative jobs then you can go for IES exam.
IES exam is a civil service exam, which is conducted by UPSC every year.
To crack the exam you have to prepare yourself very well.
You can also take coaching classes to take preparation in IES exam.
Now it is depends upon you in which field you want to make you future career.
