In order to become IPS Officer aspirants has to crack civil services examination being arranged by UPSC every year.

The selection procedure to become an IPS Officer is by
- Aptitude Test
-Civil Services Main Examination
-Interview.

Eligibility Criteria:
Aspirants should possess Degree in any discipline from any University recognised by Government.
Age of the interested Aspirants should not be less than 21 years and should not be than 30 years to be eligible for IPS Exam.

Paper I Objective Type 200 Marks
Paper II Objective Type 2 hours duration - 200 Marks
Paper III English Language Descriptive Type200 Marks
Paper IV Essay - Descriptive Type Marks
