AFCAT Number of Attempts
Can you tell me number of attempts one can make AFCAT - Air Force Common Admission Test? Does number of attempts in AFCAT has some concern with the age limit? List me the AFCAT number of attempts General, OBC and SC/ST category wise?

The Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) is conducted by the Indian Air Force twice (usually in February and September) every year for selection of Officers in various branches of the force including Flying Branch (Short Service Commission) Technical Branch (Short Service Commission and Permanent Commission) Ground Duty Branch (Short Service Commission and Permanent Commission) Eligibility Criteria Education : Graduation (min 3 years) in any discipline with min 60% marks and have passed Maths and Physics as subject at 10+2 level B.E/ B.Tech from a recognized University with min 60% marks. Age Limit : 20 to 24 years Min Height : 162.5 cms with correlated weight Min Vision : 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in other Number of Attempt In AFCAT also there is no limit on the number of attempts one can make. However, your degree must be complete at the time of course commencement. In AFCAT also the age limit for different posts differs. Here is a detailed account: Flying Branch: 19-23 years, Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (Indian) is relaxable up to 25 years. Technical Branch: 23-26 years Ground Duty Branches: For Graduate: 20 to 23 years For Post Graduate/LLB (Five years integrated course): 20 to 25 For LLB (Three years course after Graduation): 20 to 26 years For M.Ed/Ph.D/CA/ICWA: 20 to 27 years. AFCAT Exam Selection Procedure : Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) and Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT - only for Technical branch). AFSB Interview Screening test Psychological test, Group test, Medical Test and Interview CPSS (Computerized Pilot Selection System) and/ or PABT only for Flying branch |
