National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is the qualifying entrance exam for admission to Architecture courses across India. The Council of Architecture (COA), New Delhi conducts NATA for admission to Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) course, in all recognized institutions all over India.

It measures the aptitude for specific field of Architecture. It measures drawing and observation skills, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity and critical thinking ability, that have been acquired over a long period of time, and that are related to specific field of Architecture.

Yes, SPA or School of Planning and Architecture gives admission through National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) in its Architecture course.

Registration Start 21st January, 2016

Exam Start 1st April, 2016

Last Date of Exam 20th August, 2016

Last Date of Registration 18th August, 2016

NATA Exam

The NATA examination is scheduled to be held in two phases, i.e. Phase 1 and phase 2.
The tentative dates for the Phase 1 will be from April to May, and that for the Phase 2 will be in the month of August.
The candidate can appear for test any day during this period except for the gazetted holidays.

The candidates have to bring following things at the test centre:

Appointment voucher/Admit Card
Any ID mentioned on the appointment voucher
Set of colors with appropriate instruments
3-4 pencils (2B & HB) and eraser
Geometry box
Blue ink pen

Exam Pattern
The NAT 2016 exam will consist of two parts, i.e. part 1 will have paper based drawing test and part 2 will have computer based test.

The paper 1 will be of two hours and in that candidates are required to answer 2 questions.

In paper 2 the candidates have to answer 40 questions in total.
