Admission for Architecture in Anna University

Can you tell me about the admission process in Architecture in Anna University as my friend wants to admit his son in it?

Anna University, Chennai conducts admission to 5 year Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) programme which is divided into 10 semesters and is being offered at University Department of Anna University, Government Aided Institution and the seats surrendered by the Self-Financing Engineering Colleges.

Eligibility Criteria:
As per the university norms, students belonging to Tamil Nadu only will be considered for admission to the programme. Tamil Nadu students, who have passed VIII, IX, X, XI and XII standard in Tamil Nadu are eligible to apply.

The students should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent exam with Mathematics / Business Mathematics as one of the subjects.

How to Apply:
Students can obtain the application forms in person at the Examination Centre, Anna University, Chennai-600 025 on payment of cash /Demand Draft for Rs 500 (for General category) and Rs. 250 (for SC/SCA/ST students).

Application forms can also be collected by post from The Secretary, Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA), Anna University, Chennai-600 025 by sending a requisition letter along with a Demand Draft for Rs 700 (for General category) and Rs 450 (for SC/SCA/ST candidates).

Students can also apply online.

Selection Procedure:
The students should have passed (pass mark is 80 out of 200) the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture, New Delhi.
