The Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board notifies entrance exam for both Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Examination and National Eligibility Test (NET). Educational Qualification Prelim - ARS/NET Examination One must have a Masters degree or equivalent in the concerned subject with specialization as defined below, before the day of Prelim ARS/NET Examination. Agricultural Sciences Crop Improvement Eligibility: Masters degree in Plant Breeding/ Genetics/ Plant Breeding and Genetics/ Botany/ Plant Genetic Resources/ Seed Technology/ Seed Science and Technology or Masters degree in Agriculture with specialization in any of the above subject. Crop Protection Eligibility : Masters degree in Agriculture Entomology/ Entomology/ Plant Protection/ Sericulture/ Apiculture/ Plant Pathology/ Nematology/ Mycology and Plant Pathology/ Agriculture Chemicals/ Agricultural Chemistry/ Organic Chemistry with specialization with Plant Protection Chemicals or Masters degree in Agriculture with specialization in any of the above subjects or Masters degree in Botany/ Zoology/ Life Sciences with specialization in Entomology/ Plant Pathology/ Nematology Basic Plant Sciences Eligibility : Masters degree in Biochemistry/ Plant Physiology/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/ Genetic Engineering or Masters degree in Botany/ Life Sciences / Plant Sciences with specialization in any of the above subjects or Masters degree in Agriculture with specialization in any of the above subjects Horticulture Eligibility : Masters degree in Horticulture/ Fruit Science (Pomology)/ Vegetable Sciences (Olericulture)/ Floriculture/ Spices and Plantation Crops/ Medicinal & Aromatic Plants/ Fruit Breeding & Genetic resources/ Post Harvest Technology in Horticulture/ Mushoroom Science or Masters degree in Agri/ Horticulture with specialization in any of the above subjects. Paper Pattern:- There will be one paper of 150 marks consisting of 150 objective type multiple choice questions to be solved in 2 (Two) hours. Each question carries one mark. These 150 questions shall be derived from the respective discipline in which the candidate has opted to appear. |
