The Medical Entrance exam preparation courses of Aakash Institute aim at training a student to crack exams like AIPMT, AIIMS, AMU, AFMC, JIPMER, MU-OET (Manipal), MGIMS-Wardha, CMC-Vellore etc.

Aakash has well defined selection criteria for admissions to its Medical Entrance examination training program. A student has to undergo Admission-cum-Scholarship-Test (ACST). This is a written test consisting of objective questions. Based on a student’s performance in ACST, he/she is awarded scholarship and entry into the training program for medical exams.

Scholarships are also awarded on the basis of a candidate’s performance in Class X and XII board exams. Moreover, there are scholarships that are given to students based on some special conditions, the details of which are available in the scholarships section.

Pattern of some Entrance Exams:

AIPMT: The All India Pre Medical/ Pre Dental Entrance Test (AIPMT) consist of total 180 objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology.

Each subject has 45 questions with 4 marks each carrying a total 720 marks. There is also one fourth (1/4) negative marking for each wrong answer. Duration of test is 3 hrs.

AIIMS: In the entrance test of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), 60 questions from each subject – Physics, Chemistry and Biology are asked along with 20 questions from General Knowledge.

Out of 200 questions, 120 questions based on MCQs, 60 questions based on A/R type and 20 questions from GK. There are also negative marks 1/3. Duration of entrance exam is 3.5 hrs.

JIPMER: Jawaharlal Institute of Post graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) for MBBS entrance exam will consists of 200 single response type Multiple Choice Questions in the subjects of Physics-60Q, Chemistry-60Q, Biology-60Q, Logic & Quantitative Reasoning-10Q and English & Comprehension-10Q. Each correct response shall be awarded 1 mark.

There is no negative marking for wrong answers. Duration of test is 2 ½ hrs.
