Deemed University
Deemed University is a position of independence granted to high performing institutes and departments of several universities in India. This position of ‘Deemed-to-be-University’ is allotted through Departments of Higher Education, Union Human Resource Development Ministry, on the proposal of the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India, under Section 3 of the UGC (University Grants Commission) Act, 1956.
