About the institute
Central Institute of Tool Design (CITD) founded in 1968 by the Govt. of India with the assist of UNDP and ILO, is an opening up Institution in the area of Tool Engineering in the nation. The Institute was initially launched as a United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Project and was performed by International Labour system (ILO). The Precision machinery and equipment was gifted by UNDP and the faculties were trained abroad in the area of Tool Engineering. The UNDP Experts stayed at CITD for about 5 years and trained officers, faculty & staff of CITD in manufacture and design of tooling
