CIFA Bhubaneswar
Introduction
Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture launched in 1949.The central office of the Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture situated at Kausalyaganga on the Bhubaneswar-Puri highway, approximately 10 km from the township of Bhubaneswar. The Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture (CIFA) is a prime research Institute on freshwater aquaculture in the nation under the aegeis of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delh. The Centre blossomed into its full capacity and became as an autonomous Institute during 1987 as Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture. The Institute is also the conduct Centre on ‘Carp Farming in India’ under Network of Aquaculture Centres in Asia-Pacific.
The clientele of such training courses are developmental workers from State Fisheries sections, teachers, students, researchers, bank officers, personnel from NGOs, grangers and entrepreneurs.
