The Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and technology (CIPET), was established in 1968 under the UNDP assistance ship. The Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and technology (CIPET) is an autonomous educational body start up under the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Ministry of chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India excelling in furnishing word class technical knowledge in the airfield of plastic engineering. Aims of CIPET are to provide blend of various specialized Academic courses in airfield of Plastics Engineering & Technology (Doctoral, Post Graduate, Undergraduate, Post Graduate Diploma, and Post Diploma) in order to furnish characterized Human Resources to Plastics & Allied Industries. The Technology support services (TSS) to the industries and Ingenious Research are one of the important product portfolios of CIPET.
