Central Drug Research Institute is based in 1956 by the first prime pastor of India Pundit Jawahar Lal Nehru. CDRI is discerned by the Jawahar Lal Nehru University, New Delhi (JNU) for award of Ph.D. degree. 60 seats per year are available under this joint plan. Choice is purely founded on merit. Central Drug Research Institute Lucknow, is one of the innovator research institutes below the regions of Council of Scientifi. Admission is strictly based on merit. However, those who are selected but not admitted to JNU Ph.D. programme, are not prevented from obtaining Ph.D. degree but will have to seek registration from any other University with the help of their research supervisors.
