CBU MBA Program
Cape Breton University’s School of Business, situated in the Cape Breton Regional Municipality near Sydney, Nova Scotia, like its parent institution, provides an educational experience which is rooted in the culture, history, and political economy of its home responsibility, in special, and of the Maritimes, in general. The School directs to create successful but socially responsible and ethical economic and corporate leaders by training students in the broad operable fields of business, in the specific knowledge of professional business designations, and in the social and ethical obligations of business.
The aim program extended by the School is the Master of Business Administration in Community Economic Development (CED). Merging the subjects of business and social sciences with the practice of community economic growth, the MBA in CED is a specific program in Atlantic Canada planned mainly for those who work in or plan to find work in the CED field. The MBA in CED aims to grow a new generation of leaders who have strong business management abilities, well originated synergetic and interpersonal skills, and deep understanding of accountability, social responsibility, and growth issues and practices.
