The University of Calcutta is the most previous of the modern universities in India. The University of Calcutta is a public university situated in the city of Kolkata (previously Calcutta), India, launched on 24 January 1857. It has been announced as a “Five Star University” and a “Centre with Potential for Excellence” by the University Grants Commission. It is a state-government administrated urban-based associating and research university. The university has various campuses spread over the city of Kolkata and its suburbias. It is the only university in India which developed four Nobel laureates and has graded consistently between the first five hundred universities in the world.

Candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in Joint Entrance for Computer Application (JECA) conducted by University of Calcutta.

Admission process
Candidate has to fill out an application form that is available at the official site of the institute. They also have to give an entrance test that is conduct by the university. Application form will be submitted before the last date of submission.
