Brokerage Margin

A Brokerage Margin call is a presentment necessitating from the capitalist deposit the extra money to comply with the minimum margin demand. If the investor does not deposit the additional funds the brokerage firm can liquidate the stocks. In order to protect its position brokerage tautens set a upkeep margin that is the minimum amount of capital that an investor must keep in its margin accounts.
