Bharat Dynamics Limited is a prime administration under the Ministry of Defence, and the sole agency for constructing several types of integrated guided missiles. BDL was founded in the year 1970. It’s getting into being reflects the visionary wisdom of the Nation to attain self-reliance in the technological field. Nurtured by a pool of talented engineers drawn from DRDO and region industries, BDL began its travel by developing a 1st Generation Anti Tank Guided Missile-the French SS11B1. This production was a culmination of a Licence Agreement the Government of India came in into with Aerospatiale, France.
The BDL Material Testing Laboratory at Bhanur lets in respective testing instrumentation. Technical forces are obligated for failure elimination of Missile and Launcher parts, sub-assemblies and sub-systems. The Concurrent Engineering Groupa (CEG) is liable for import-substitution of materials and parts for missile technology. The Electro Plating Division is committed to several plating procedures and ETP procedures, with applications to over 850 types of missile and launcher elements.
