Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, also popular as Amrita University, is a multi-campus and multi-disciplinary teaching cum research university. The University has founded five campuses spread around three southern states of India – Amritapuri (Kerala), Bangalore (Karnataka), Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu), Kochi (Kerala), and Mysore (Karnataka). It has been commissioned by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with its highest grade ‘A.

Eligibility
Pass in 12th standard in the first attempt and with a lower limit of marks 60% in English and 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together, from any State Higher Secondary Board or equivalent. NRI’s and Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) who qualify from foreign universities will have to produce an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi. lower limit 17 years of age and max 23 years on or before 31st December 2009.
Admission Procedure
Admission is grounded on the Academic merit and interview/group discussion.
(Those who are performing for the final examinations and expect lower limit marks as given for eligibility may also apply). (Candidates with valid GATE Score are given preference.)
