The AOS was constituted in the 70’s, It is recorded as a Public Trust,Ahmedabad Ophthalmic Society is a City based Unit of Ophthalmologist belonging to the great city of ahmedabad,It is attached to Gujarat ophthalmic society and shares common interest to push fellowship amongst them & to adhare common values, interest and thoughts in the field of ophthalmology, It carries on several personal and academics programs round the year to enhance & promote recent advances in ophthalmology, it helps in organizing national & state level conferences to enhance knowledge & skills in the area of ophthalmology, Anybody with medical degree & post-graduate qualification in ophthalmology can become a member of the society,
